Festive Baked Brie with Cranberry Sauce
Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We surely had! Maybe it’s hard to believe, but that was our first real Thanksgiving during the time in the US. Our friends invited Alex and me to celebrate this very special day with their family and friends. I don’t think I have enough words to describe how grateful we are for sharing this experience with so wonderful and loving people. It’s incredibly important to feel like we have a second family in foreign country. Thank you Shana, Ivan and Sydney for your love and support!
Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.
Everything was perfect that evening. The atmosphere, the mood, oh, and, of course, the food. Our holiday dinner was amazing, I didn’t help much with cooking, though. All I made were simple vegetable stuffing, and homemade vanilla gelato, which complemented the incredible pies made by our friend Marie. I’ll definitely post the gelato recipe someday soon because it was a real success, plus it’s very easy to make, so you’ll love it.
Despite we had about 18 people we could not finish all the food, I’m sure that happened in your house as well. Sometimes I think Thanksgiving is just impossible without leftovers. That’s why I think we need two separate sets of recipes, one for the holiday dinner and one for the holiday leftovers =)
If you have some cranberry sauce sitting in your fridge consider this Baked Brie recipe to get rid of it. I promise it’s very easy to make, and it will take only 15 minutes to cook! Moreover, it’s a great quick appetizer idea for your Christmas table. You can serve baked Brie with your favorite crackers or go fancy and deep fry wonton wrappers, and then dust them with powdered sugar. It will be delicious! The tangy cranberry sauce complements cheese extremely well, especially when paired with a bottle of good Napa Valley Chardonnay. Cheers, guys!
