Ulli Thandu Thoran or Ulli Thandu Upperi is stir-fried onion flower stems or onion scapes. Some people call it as Ulli Poovu or Ulli Ila which means onion flower or onion leaves respectively. This is a mildly spicy side dish and it goes very well with rice.
