Massimo Bottura’s restaurant Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, has for the second time topped the list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna.

The 2018 list was announced at an awards ceremony in Bilbao, Spain, after a week of celebration that included a welcome dinner at a ‘txoko,’ an edition of #50BestTalks at the Basque Culinary Center in San Sebastian featuring chefs Dan Barber, Clare Smyth, Christina Tosi, Gaggan Anand, Eneko Atxa, Joan Roca and Paul Pairet, a countryside Chefs’ Feast in the Atxondo Valley and a star-studded awards gala at Palacio Euskalduna, followed by an after party at the San Mames stadium.
