  1. Whenever I travel with my parents to an exotic country and we go out to eat they just get stuff that they are familiar with so we don’t get to eat all this amazing stuff and we don’t get to explore the city because by the second day they would’ve remembered the McDonald’s and kfc place

  2. I'm from Ipoh and i can safely say that there's no vinegar in the chicken rice noodle soup… the man in orange clearly have no idea and agreed to whatever Mikey said.. facepalm. ALSO. We have much better food than what the tour guides brought you to! Ipoh is a food heaven, and we have AMAZING Malay, Chinese and Indian food. The tour guides have surprisingly minimal knowledge and Mikey should've gotten better guides! This is a disappointing representation of what Ipoh food has to offer. Sigh. Also, the finger licking was epic.

  3. Should invite him to NY and show him around. He did a great job bringing you places and his commentary was perfect. He wasn't overbearing or too quiet….just perfect. He reminds me of one of my uncles.

  4. I have a hard time understanding the tour guides, but they sure have amazing taste buds. This is my kinda food!

  5. You put tapioca on the silken tofu with brown sugar and that is called taho (a street food) in the Philippines.
